Product Description

Hand-cured with sea salt and brown sugar, then cold smoked over a carefully selected fruit-wood blend, this salmon delivers a refined balance of gentle smoke, subtle sweetness, and a silky texture. The flavor is clean and focused, elegant enough for a tasting board, effortless enough for a simple brunch.

Serve well-chilled with blini, crème fraîche, lemon, and chives, layer onto toasted brioche with capers and dill, or fold into soft-scrambled eggs or a light crème fraîche pasta. Keep the seasoning minimal and let the smoke and sweetness do the work.


How is the seafood kept fresh during shipping?

Every Direct Seafood order is packed in an insulated cooler with ample dry ice to maintain frozen conditions during transit. Each portion is individually vacuum-sealed to preserve freshness and ensure ease of storage.

When your shipment arrives, the seafood should be fully frozen. Immediately transfer it to your freezer. Any remaining dry ice should be handled with care—either dispose of it using the instructions provided or allow it to dissipate by closing the cooler lid.

Nationwide Shipping (U.S. Only)

We ship anywhere in the continental U.S. via FedEx or UPS using Ground or Express service. Deliveries typically arrive within 1–3 days from the ship date. To maintain product quality, we do not ship over weekends.

Frozen orders must meet the $100 minimum to ensure they remain frozen throughout the journey.

Smoked fish, including Cold Smoked Salmon, Nova Lox, and Smoked Trout, is a fully prepared, ready-to-eat product that must be kept refrigerated.

Upon Arrival: Immediately transfer the packaged product to your refrigerator.

Refrigeration (Unopened): Keep your smoked fish refrigerated at 38°F or below. If unopened, it is best consumed by the "Use By" date printed on the package, which is typically 2-3 weeks from packaging.

Refrigeration (Opened): Once the package is opened, wrap any unused portions tightly in plastic wrap or foil, or transfer to an airtight container. Consume opened smoked fish within 5 to 7 days for optimal safety and flavor. 

Freezing: For long-term storage, smoked fish can be safely stored in its original, unopened packaging in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Thawing: To maintain quality, thaw frozen smoked fish slowly in the refrigerator for 24 hours. Once thawed, consume within 3-4 days and do not refreeze.

Preparation: Smoked fish is ready to eat and best enjoyed cold. It requires no further cooking.
