Minimum Order: $100

Please note, all Direct Seafood orders require a minimum of $100. Frozen items must total at least $100 to prevent thawing during transit.

Ordering & Delivery

  • Orders under $100: Not eligible for shipment
  • Orders between $100–$200: Flat-rate shipping of $20
  • Orders $200+: Free shipping (nationwide)

Our $100 minimum helps ensure frozen items stay fully frozen during transit.

We ship to all residential and business addresses within the continental United States exclusively via FedEx. We do not ship to P.O. Boxes, Alaska, or Hawaii at this time to ensure transit times remain within the safety window for frozen goods.

To protect the quality of your seafood, we never allow packages to sit in a FedEx warehouse over a weekend. We ship Monday through Wednesday following this schedule:

  • Orders placed Monday – Wednesday (before 12:00 PM EST): Typically ship within 24–48 hours.

  • Orders placed Wednesday (after 12:00 PM EST) through Sunday: These orders will ship the following Monday.

Once your order leaves our facility, FedEx typically delivers within 1–2 business days. You will receive an automated tracking number via email as soon as your FedEx label is created.

To ensure the highest quality, our seafood is flash frozen shortly after harvest. This locks in texture, flavor, and nutrients, preserving the fish at its peak. Flash freezing stops the natural breakdown that occurs after fish is caught, offering the taste of freshly caught seafood at your convenience.

Product Quality & Handling

Every Direct Seafood order is packed in an insulated cooler with ample dry ice to maintain frozen conditions during transit. Each portion is individually vacuum-sealed to preserve freshness and ensure ease of storage.

When your shipment arrives, the seafood should be fully frozen. Immediately transfer it to your freezer.

Note: Even if the outer FedEx box feels room temperature, your seafood should be frozen solid inside the insulated liner.

Your order may still contain some dry ice upon arrival. Do not touch dry ice with bare hands, as it can cause skin damage.

  • Leave the dry ice in the insulated liner and place it in a well-ventilated area to evaporate.
  • Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

To ensure the highest quality, our seafood is flash-frozen at extremely low temperatures shortly after harvest. This rapid process prevents large ice crystals from forming inside the flesh, which preserves the fish’s original texture, flavor, and nutrients. By stopping the natural breakdown that occurs after harvest, flash-freezing locks in peak freshness until you’re ready to thaw and cook, offering a "just-caught" taste at your convenience.

We only work with fisheries that practice sustainable fishing. We are committed to ocean conservation and work with suppliers who practice responsible harvesting methods.

We offer a curated and growing selection of premium finfish, shellfish, and gourmet specialties. Our shop features everything from Alaskan Halibut and Faroe Island Salmon to Maine Lobster Tails and Key West Pink Shrimp.

We offer both wild-caught and farm-raised. Each product description clearly indicates the source, allowing you to make an informed choice.

Food Safety & Storage

Keep your seafood frozen until you are ready to prepare it. Our vacuum-sealed fish and shellfish can be stored in the freezer for up to 12 months, but they are best enjoyed within 6 months for optimal flavor. Once thawed in the refrigerator, cook and consume within 24 hours. Do not refreeze.Note on Refrigerated Items: Products like our Smoked Mahi Fish Dip and Caviar should be kept refrigerated at 38°F or below immediately upon arrival. Do not freeze these items. Always refer to the use-by date on the package.

Our seafood is handled with safety in mind from the moment it is caught to the time it reaches your doorstep. We inspect and test every product to ensure it meets the highest food safety standards, giving you peace of mind with every meal.

Pricing & Payment

Shipping is free on orders over $200 For orders under $200, a flat-rate shipping fee of $20 applies. This covers our specialized temperature-controlled shipping.

We accept all major credit cards, and Apple Pay. All transactions are securely processed through our encrypted payment system.

Managing your Direct Seafood Subscribe & Save subscription is simple and flexible. Through your online account, you can customize your seafood selections, adjust delivery schedules, update billing or shipping details, or skip a delivery whenever needed.

Canceling your Direct Seafood Subscribe & Save subscription is simple. Just send us an email at support@directseafood.com with your request to cancel, and our team will take care of it promptly. Returns & Guarantees

We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you’re not completely satisfied with your seafood, contact us at support@directseafood.com within 24 hours of delivery for a full refund or replacement.

In the rare event of shipping damage, we’ll immediately send a replacement order at no cost to you. Simply contact us at support@directseafood.com with your order details and a photo of the damaged package.
